Darius Parvin

Darius Parvin is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in blockchain technologies, particularly in Bitcoin and Lightning Network development. Currently at Bakkt, Darius works on a cross-border remittance service utilizing the Bitcoin Lightning Network. Previous roles include developing an open-source Bitcoin course at Chaincode Labs and serving as a backend engineer on the Bitcoin team at BitGo, where Darius contributed to user-facing features and Lightning integration. At Bolt Labs, Inc., Darius focused on zkChannels, a protocol for anonymous payment channels. Darius holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of California, Berkeley, complemented by degrees in Neuroscience and Physics from UCL. Additionally, Darius has a strong background in teaching and research, having instructed courses at UC Berkeley and managed research projects in motor learning and decision-making.
