Kavindra Yerolkar

Kavindra Yerolkar has extensive work experience in data engineering and architecture. From 2022 onwards, they served as the VP and Head of Data Engineering at Bakkt. Prior to that, they worked at SEPHORA from 2016 to 2022, holding roles such as Sr. Director of Data & Martech, Analytics & Governance, and Principle Architect of Data Strategy and Architecture. Kavindra played a key role in building and transforming the enterprise data governance and marketing platform at SEPHORA. Before SEPHORA, Kavindra worked at Walmart eCommerce as the Director of Engineering, Database and Data Services, where they led a team and managed all data systems for the global e-commerce platform. Kavindra also worked at Sapient Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer from 1998 to 2001.

Kavindra Yerolkar has a diverse education history in the field of computer science and engineering. In 1990, they started their academic journey at Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engg., MYSORE, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 1994. Following this, they pursued advanced studies in computer programming with a focus on device drivers at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 1995 to 1996. Later, they attended Arizona State University from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Kavindra Yerolkar has also acquired various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field. These certifications include Couchbase operations and Administration, Datastax Architect and Administration training for Apache Cassandra, Solr, and Spark, Greenplum Architecture and Administration, IBM UDB DBA Training, MySQL for Database Administrators, Netezza Architecture and Administration, Oracle 11g Performance Tuning, Oracle GoldenGate 11g Certification, and Oracle RAC 11g and Grid Infrastructure Administration.
