Paul Simmons

Paul Simmons has a strong background in legal and corporate governance. Paul currently serves as the Vice President, Legal at Bakkt, where they lead the company's SEC reporting function and advises senior management on securities matters and corporate governance. Prior to Bakkt, Paul was the Associate General Counsel at Impulse Dynamics, providing legal and business counsel to achieve major business objectives, including contracts, intellectual property, and risk management. Paul also served as the Assistant General Counsel at Luxoft, a DXC Technology Company, where they provided general legal support on a wide range of matters. Earlier in their career, Paul worked as an Associate Attorney at Guzov Ofsink, LLC, representing public and private companies in corporate transactions and regulatory compliance, and at Pusch & Gal law firm.

Paul Simmons has obtained an LL.M. degree in Corporate Law from the New York University School of Law. Prior to that, they pursued a J.D. degree in International Law and Legal Studies from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO.
