Eureka Zhao

Senior Scientist, Discovery Biology at BAKX Therapeutics

Eureka Zhao is currently a Senior Scientist at BAKX Therapeutics. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Investigator at Roivant Sciences from February 2021 to May 2022. There, they represented the biology team in multi-disciplinary project teams and collaborated closely with teams from chemistry, biophysics, modeling & simulation to deliver key results. Eureka also developed and executed relevant functional assays and designed screening funnels to test compound effects in cells.

From July 2018 to February 2021, Eureka Zhao worked as a Scientist at Silicon Therapeutics. Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Dr. Adam Zweifach Lab at University of Connecticut from July 2012 to May 2018 where they mentored 2 senior research assistants and managed 1 RA as a direct report.

Eureka Zhao has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at University of Connecticut from August 2011 to November 2017 and as an Undergraduate Researcher at Beihang University from July 2007 to July 2010.

Eureka Zhao completed a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Connecticut, and a BE in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Beihang University.
