Sylvia Flores has extensive work experience in various roles. Sylvia most recently served as the Director of Recreation, Arts & Culture at Bal Harbour Village starting in April 2022. Prior to that, they worked for the City of Sunny Isles Beach for 20 years, where they held the positions of Director from October 2017 to April 2022 and Assistant Director of Cultural & Community Services from April 2002 to September 2017. Earlier in their career, Sylvia worked as an Office Assistant at Bacardi from February 2001 to December 2001.

Bal Harbour Village
Bal Harbour Village was incorporated on August 14,1946. The Council consists of five Councilmembers who serve as the policy-making body of the Village. The Village Manager ensures that policies, directives, resolutions and ordinances adopted by the Village Council are enforced and implemented. The Village Manager is also charged with the daily operations of the Village.
