Wendy Overton

Wendy Overton is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in cybersecurity and strategic business development. Currently serving as the Global Strategy Leader at Balance Theory, Wendy is instrumental in product strategy and development, as well as managing the Ambassador Program. As the Founder and CEO of Beacon Cyber Solutions, Wendy provides consultancy services to startups and established companies on various aspects of cybersecurity product businesses. Wendy also contributes as a Partner Advisory Board Member at Code42 and previously advised the Safe Security Channel Team. With a background at Optiv in areas such as Insider Risk Management and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, as well as roles at Deloitte and the Department of Defense, Wendy has cultivated a robust skill set in security strategy, risk management, and organizational transformation. Wendy holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs with a focus on International Security from The George Washington University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Western Washington University.
