Melanie Morris

Melanie Morris has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a High School Counselor and Education Specialist at Balboa Academy since January 2017. Previously, Melanie worked at Balboa Academy from August 1999 to June 2004 as a 1st and 4th grade teacher, and at Curundu Elementary School, DoDDS, as a 1st grade teacher from January 1992 to July 1999. Educational qualifications include a Certification in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services from UC San Diego (2021-2022), a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics - TESOL from Quality Leadership University (2018-2019), and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Florida State University (1988-1991). Additionally, Melanie is pursuing a DIPLOMADO in Intervención en Dislexia at Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua and holds a Teaching Certification in Education from the Department of Defense Dependents Schools, active since 1992.
