Claire Deakin

Claire Deakin is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in civil and design engineering. Currently serving as a Contractors Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer at Balfour Beatty plc since August 2021, Claire previously held roles as a Chartered Design Engineer and Temporary Works Design Engineer at Galliford Try. Claire's career includes contributions as a Senior Design Engineer within Balfour Beatty Rail, and as a Civil Engineer at Mott MacDonald, specializing in geotechnical and bridge engineering. Claire initiated the professional journey as a Student Ambassador at The University of Nottingham, where a Master of Civil Engineering (MEng) with First Class Honours was obtained. Additional experience includes positions as a Supervisor at Home Retail Group PLC and a Placement Student at Rolls Royce Raynesway.
