Veena Hudson

Veena Hudson currently serves as the Head of Public Affairs and Policy at Balfour Beatty plc since July 2015. Prior to this role, Veena worked in various senior advisory positions, including Senior Special Adviser for Environmental Affairs and Strategy Implementation at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister from September 2014 to May 2015, and Senior Special Adviser for Home and Foreign Affairs at 10 Downing Street from July 2013 to September 2014. Additional experience includes serving as Special Adviser for Defra, DfT, and CLG at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (January 2012 - June 2013), Head of Media and Stakeholder Relations at Monitor (June 2010 - January 2012), Head of Public Affairs at ACCA (April 2008 - June 2010), and Parliamentary and Government Relations Adviser at the Environment Agency (2005 - 2008). Veena's early career included a role as a Parliamentary researcher for Nick Clegg MEP in the European Parliament from August 2003 to November 2004.
