Supak Barua

Supak Barua, P. Eng., is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in product compliance and operations assurance. Currently serving as a Senior Product Compliance Engineer at Ballard Power Systems since May 2019, Supak leads product certification efforts and conformance analysis for multiple fuel cell product lines. Previous roles include Product Development Engineer II and Co-Op at Ballard, where responsibilities encompassed regulatory compliance and reliability analysis. At Chevron, between 2012 and 2018, Supak managed operations competency teams, ensured compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and facilitated safety reviews. Prior experience at Nestlé involved leading safety management and sustaining SH&E compliance. Supak holds a Master of Engineering in Chemical and Biological Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
