Edwardt Baum

Edwardt Baum has had a varied and impressive career. From 2010 to 2019, they served in the United States Marine Corps as a Rifleman 0311. In 2019, they were an Artificial Intelligence Bot Developer Intern at the Office of Innovation and Information Technology. That same year, they were a Ryder ChatBot Team Member at a HACKATHON EVENT/Ryder-Nova Conversational Chatbot, where they built a conversational chatbot to provide Ryder Transport company the ability to appropriately answers frequently asked questions about their used vehicle services from a predefined list. Edwardt also configured code using Microsoft’s LUIS (Language Understanding) – Cognitive Services to recognize if a user is speaking or requesting to speak in a native language. In 2021, they completed a Nova Southeastern University Capstone in Computer Science and worked on several portfolio projects, including a Python Flask Art Portfolio Website, a Python Flask TodoApp, and a Cloud Resume Challenge. Currently, they are a Full Stack Developer and Content Manager at Ballyhoo Media, where they manage the CMS, client inventory and scheduling, uploads and schedules creative files, and develops new and creative content. Edwardt also created a react geofencing application to interface with users and made it possible to send UDP messages to public IP addresses to control the content change of brightsign media players.

Edward Baum attended Keiser University-Ft Lauderdale from 2014 to 2017, where they earned an Associate of Arts - AA in Business Administration, Management and Operations. Edwardt then attended Nova Southeastern University from 2018 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
