Emily Nielson

Emily Nielson is an experienced leader in human capital management, currently serving as the Chief Human Capital Officer at Baltimore City Public Schools since September 2022. Prior to this role, Emily held various positions at IDEA Public Schools, including Senior Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Vice President of Operations & Headquarters Talent from October 2017 to October 2022. Emily has also served as Chief Talent Officer at Camden City School District and held multiple roles at IDEA Public Schools from July 2009 to August 2014. Beginning their career as a teacher at Roma Independent School District, Emily Nielson has built a comprehensive background in talent development and operations. Emily holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and an AB in Social Studies from Harvard University.
