Sonja Bloetner

Sonja Bloetner currently serves as the Director of Multilingual Achievement at Baltimore County Public Schools, focusing on enhancing programming and instruction for Multilingual Learners from PreK-12 and promoting equity in educational practices. With extensive experience in educational leadership, Bloetner has held positions such as Chief Innovation Officer at CREATE Solutions, LLC, where curriculum development for Project-Based Learning in Uganda was initiated, and ESOL Supervisor at Montgomery County Public Schools, where strategic initiatives resulted in significant improvements in language development and literacy for diverse learners. Bloetner's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design and Development from the University of Maryland and various certifications in project management and educational leadership.
