Sarah Ritter has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Sarah started their career in 2012 as a Community Manager and Project Coordinator at Pacific Community Ventures. Sarah then worked as a Program Development Consultant at the Mayor's Office of Economic and Workforce Development from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they joined the Baltimore Police Department as a Compliance Manager until 2018. In the same year, they also served as the Director of Neighborhood Programs at HEALTHY NEIGHBORHOODS, INC. Following that, from 2018 to 2019, Sarah worked as a Project Manager at Johns Hopkins University & Medicine. Sarah then served as the Director of Programs at the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice from 2019 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Administration at the Baltimore Police Department, with previous roles in the Chief of Detectives Office and the Deputy Commissioner of Operations Office.
Sarah Ritter pursued their education starting from 2005 at Occidental College. Sarah studied Urban and Environmental Policy with a focus on Spanish and successfully completed their degree in 2009. Later, in 2014, they joined the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Master's degree in City Planning with a specialization in Housing, Community, and Economic Development by 2016.
