George Tyrrell

George Tyrrell is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in trading and portfolio management. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since July 2024, George previously held the position of Executive Director in Gilt Trading at Goldman Sachs from August 2019 to July 2024. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Senior Gilts and GBP Rates Trader at Lloyds Banking Group from September 2008 to July 2019, where George was responsible for managing risk positions in UK Government Bonds and related instruments, alongside prior roles that included pricing and risk management of interest rate flows and an industrial placement at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2006. George holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Bath, obtained in 2008, and completed foundational education at Portsmouth Grammar School.
