Jarosław Śmietanka

Jarosław Śmietanka is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and team leadership. As a Senior Software Engineer at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since September 2024, Jarosław contributes to the Commodities Risk Technology team. Prior to this, Jarosław served as a Technical Team Lead Manager at Growbots, where responsibilities included mentoring software developers and collaborating with Product Owners and UX Designers. Jarosław has also held positions as a Senior Software Engineer/Data Engineer focusing on micro-services development, a Java Developer at Goldman Sachs where financial data systems were designed and maintained, and an Android Developer at Modern Wizards. An earlier role as a Software Engineer at AdOcean involved the development of affiliation platforms and distributed systems. Jarosław holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Information and Decision Systems from Warsaw University of Technology.
