Brian Richard Pauw is a permanent researcher at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung since October 2016, focusing on the development of data corrections for synchrotron and laboratory X-ray scattering instruments. Previously, Brian served as a permanent scientist at the National Institute for Materials Science from July 2011 to July 2016, where similar data correction tasks were undertaken. Brian's career includes roles as an independent researcher developing methodologies for small-angle scattering and a postdoctoral researcher at Aarhus University, where collaborations with SPring-8 in Japan facilitated the setup of XRD and SAXS experiments. Brian holds a PhD in Materials Science from DTU - Technical University of Denmark and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
