Hassan Omar is currently a PhD student and researcher at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, focusing on thin film investigations as model systems for nanocomposites since March 2020. Prior experience includes a role as a validation specialist at Commissioning Agents, Inc. and an internship at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, where development and troubleshooting of a gender recognition experiment on MatLab were conducted. Hassan also has research experience from Yale University, where experimentation with high-temperature sealants and the formability of amorphous metals occurred. An academic background includes a PhD in Soft Matter Physics and a Master of Science in Polymer Science from Technische Universität Berlin, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
