Sureena Gill

Sureena Gill has a diverse work experience in finance and private equity. Sureena currently serves as the Fund Manager and CEO of Bamboo Capital Partners, where they manage the CARE-SheTrades gender investment fund. Sureena also holds board positions in Annapurna Finance Pvt. Ltd., Orb Energy, Amartha, Vortex Engineering Pvt. Ltd., and Teak Tree Investments. In the past, Sureena served as an Advisor APAC at Astarte Capital Partners LLP and as a Director and Advisor in the Small Mid Cap Sector, Private Equity Funds, and International Organizations. Sureena also worked as a Financial Officer and Consultant at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where they focused on financial inclusion and infrastructure. Sureena's early experience includes a role as a Summer Associate in Economics Research at J.P. Morgan.

Sureena Gill's education history includes acquiring a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1992-1995. During this time, they pursued a double major in Finance & Operations Management and Economics, achieving a GPA of 3.6. Following this, Sureena pursued a Master's Degree in International Economics & Finance from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) from 1999-2001. Sureena was awarded the Lockheed Fellowship for academic excellence, which covered their full tuition and provided a stipend. Additionally, Sureena has engaged in professional education at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, specializing in CPA/CGMA/ACMA studies.
