Eric H. Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Eric H. started their career in 1985 as a Teacher and Summer Camp Coordinator at Northwest YMCA, where they were responsible for various tasks including staff supervision, parent communication, and staff development. In 1988, they served as a Teaching Assistant at Bethel University, and then worked as a Technical Specialist at Adults' & Children's Alliance from 1990 to 1992. Eric joined BANANAS Inc. in 1992 as a Program Manager and later became the Director of Public Policy and Community Outreach at CocoKids from 2010 to 2019. During their time at CocoKids, they were responsible for monitoring policy changes, developing public policy programs, and advising leadership on policy development. In 2019, Eric returned to BANANAS Inc. as the Director of Client Services and Public Policy, where they managed a team, set goals for the department, and built an engaged team. Additionally, Eric has also worked as a Freelance Photographer, Writer, and Owner of EricPetersonPhoto since 1991, specializing in landscape, street, event, portrait, and photojournalism photography.

Eric H. Peterson obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Bethel University. Eric H. pursued further education and completed a Master of Arts degree in Education from Mills College.
