Sherry Bentley has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Sherry started their career in 1989 as an Acceptance Officer at Sanwa Australia Finance. Sherry then worked as a Research Analyst at BC Lottery from 1991 to 1994, followed by a role as a Planning Officer at BC Ferries from 1994 to 1997. Sherry joined Los Angeles Times in 1997 as a Consumer Insights Manager and stayed with the company until 2005. Sherry then became the Owner of The Growth Coach from 2005 to 2006. Currently, they hold the position of SVP, Underwriting & Portfolio Management, Specialty Banking at Banc of California.

Sherry Bentley has an extensive education history. Sherry obtained their MBA in Marketing & Finance from the University of Southern California, where they attended from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their BA in Economics at Simon Fraser University. Sherry has also pursued additional certifications throughout their career. In 2005, they obtained a California Bureau of Real Estate License from the California Bureau of Real Estate. Most recently, in July 2020, they completed the Certified SBA 7a Loan Underwriting Training offered by Coleman Training.
