Jose Fernando Mendoza has extensive experience in the banking sector. Jose Fernando started their career with Citi in 2002, where they held various roles, including Credit Risk Officer and Treasury Marketing Unit Manager at Banco de Honduras. In 2007, they became the Treasury Manager and Head of Risk Trading & Corporate Finance at Banco de Honduras. Jose Fernando then joined HSBC Global Banking and Markets as the Head of Global Markets & Treasurer at HSBC Honduras in 2007 and remained in that role until 2012. Currently, Mendoza is working at Banco Atlántida, where they have held multiple positions since 2013. Jose Fernando started as the Regional Vice President of Corporate Banking and then transitioned to become the Deputy Vice President of International. Jose Fernando also served as the Vice President of Treasury and Vice President of International. Jose Fernando is currently the Corporate Vice President of Treasury & International.
Jose Fernando Mendoza holds a Master of Engineering degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which they completed in 2001. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of Notre Dame from 1995 to 2000. In 2019, Jose obtained a diploma in Foreign Trade from Icomex Campus.
