Lauro Leite Silva has a diverse and extensive work experience in the banking and finance industry. Lauro has held various leadership positions in different companies throughout their career. In 2006, they worked as an Executive Superintendent at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., where they were responsible for managing services for both retail and corporate divisions. From 2009 to 2010, they served as an Executive Superintendent of Transaction Banking at Banco Santander. Lauro then became the Executive Superintendent of Corporate Banking, overseeing commercial and investment banking activities for corporate clients in the Sao Paulo Metro Area and surrounding cities. In 2016, Lauro Leite Silva took on a new role as the Executive Superintendent of Santander Credit Management Services.
In 2018, they founded their own venture, emDia, which they managed until 2019. During this time, they also served as a mentor for the GE Health Care Project at Insper - Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa. In 2011, Lauro Leite Silva transitioned to Banco Santander as the Senior Head of WayCarbon Liaison, responsible for strategy and sales. Lauro later took on the role of Senior Head of BaaS - Banking as a Service. In 2022, they became a Fiscal Council Member at Clube Paineiras do Morumby.
Lauro Leite Silva's most recent roles include being the CEO of Return-Capital from 2017 to 2022 and serving as Director of Product Management at Banco Bmg starting in October 2023. Lastly, they had a brief period of garden leave at Santander from July to October 2023. Lauro Leite Silva has a diverse education history. Lauro earned their BS in Engineering from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro from 1983 to 1988. Later, they pursued an Executive MBA in Capital Markets from Ibmec from 1995 to 1997. In 1997, they attended Harvard Business School and completed their MBA in Administration from 1997 to 1999. In 2010, they obtained an SMB in Banking from INSEAD. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Full Membership from ABC3, Conselheiro Consultivo from CELINTBRA Governança Corporativa, Membership from Open Mind Brazil, and CPA-20 from ANBIMA in 2003.
