Guillermo Martínez Requena

Guillermo Martínez Requena is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the financial services sector, currently serving as the Chief Technology and Information Officer for Gravity at Banco Santander since January 2014. Under this role, Guillermo oversees the development of a bespoke innovative software that facilitates the transition of core banking to the cloud. Previously, Guillermo held several senior positions within Banco Santander, including Director of Gravity Platform Strategy and Director of Santander Corporate Technology, focusing on omnichannel digital applications and enabling Santander's Global Digital Transformation Program. Guillermo's earlier career includes roles at ISBAN, FatWire Software, icon medialab, and Getronics, where expertise ranged from technical architecture to presales in the financial services domain. Guillermo holds a Bachelor of Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UNED, complemented by executive education in digital leadership from IE Business School.
