Amitpal Bhutani

Amit Bhutani came to Kasasa by way of SoFi, where he was VP of Engineering and Product, and Amazon, as Senior Software Development Manager, where he and his team built Alexa Shopping’s natural language understanding (NLU) platform from scratch. Leading the Alexa Shopping NLU team, Amit laid the foundation for a team that grew to an organization of more than 400 contributors.

Amit is more interested in solving customer problems than in building overly complex technology. His focus is driving satisfaction, both for the customer and for his team. He works to build strong relationships based on mutual respect without sacrificing results.

Prior to his experience at Amazon and SoFi, Amit served in various roles at Tacit Knowledge, Data Captures Solutions and NovaSync. He has a BS in Computer Science from Hofstra University, and a BA from Delhi University. Amit currently serves as a Trustee for Eastside Preparatory School in Kirkland, WA.
