Maria A. Garcia Vidondo has a strong background in leadership roles, primarily in the technology and payments industry. Maria A. has worked at Bango since 2013, starting as VP Platform Operations, where they successfully built the operational capabilities of the payment platform. Maria A. then transitioned to VP Customer Success & Growth, focusing on identifying growth opportunities and executing strategies for product offerings. Maria's next role was as VP Payments Business, where they were responsible for expanding existing deals and strengthening the competitive advantages of the market-leading product. Currently, they hold the role of VP Partnerships & Strategic Business Development: Banking and Retail, bringing a dedicated commercial focus to increase the value of the Bango ecosystem.

Prior to Bango, Maria worked at GÉANT where they held various positions. Maria A. started as a Network Engineer in 2000 and progressed to Operations Manager, overseeing the Wide Area Network and IT infrastructure. Maria A. eventually became Chief Operations Officer, responsible for building and operating the Pan-European Research Network infrastructure. Throughout their career, Maria has consistently demonstrated their ability to drive growth, develop strategies, and manage large teams and budgets.

From 1993 to 1999, Maria A. Garcia Vidondo studied at the Universidad Pública de Navarra, where they obtained a M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications. Maria A.'sfield of study was focused on Optical and Satellite communications.
