Leila Hobday

Leila Hobday has a strong background in commercial management and acquisitions in the media industry. Leila currently holds the position of VP Acquisitions at Banijay Rights since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BBC Studios from 2019 to 2022 as a Senior Commercial Manager, where they were responsible for securing and selling unscripted and scripted content from various suppliers. Leila also worked as a Commercial Manager at BBC Studios Ltd from 2016 to 2019, specifically focused on factual entertainment, entertainment, and formats. Before joining BBC Studios, Leila had several roles at BBC from 2010 to 2016, including Commercial Manager in drama, Commercial Executive, and Commercial Assistant. Leila began their career as a Supervisor at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2008 to 2010.

Leila Hobday completed their education at the following institutions. From 2000 to 2007, they attended Maidstone Grammar School for Girls. Leila then went on to study at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies.
