Simona Corno

Simona Corno has extensive work experience in the banking and financial sector. Simona is currently the Head of Financial Risk Management at UniCredit Bank Austria AG, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, Simona held various roles within UniCredit, including Head of Counterparty Credit Risk & Collateral Management and Senior Counterparty Credit Risk & Collateral Manager from 2013 - 2022. Simona was responsible for governance on CCR and collateral management at the group level and led a project on initial margin compliance to EMIR. Simona also worked at HypoVereinsbank - UniCredit - Deutschland as a Risk Controller involved in a Counterparty Credit Risk project. Their responsibilities included assessing credit processes, coordinating data quality and integrity activities, and establishing risk mitigation agreements. Simona began their career at Unicredit Global Information Services as a Business Analyst/Project Manager and later transitioned to Unicredit Banca Mobiliare as a Business Analyst in OTC Derivatives. Simona's early work experience includes roles as a Business Analyst at Banksiel and as an Accountant for Progetto Lavoro - The Outsourcing Company and an Accountant Office.

Simona Corno completed their education from 1991 to 1996 at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, where they studied Banking and Financial Intermediaries Sciences with a focus on Economics. Prior to that, they attended ITCG E. De Nicola, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
