Beju Shah

Beju Shah currently serves as the Head of Nordic Centre at the Bank for International Settlements' Innovation Hub, focusing on secure and resilient central bank digital currency systems. Shah has extensive experience in digital innovation and data transformation, previously holding roles such as Senior Advisor at the Bank of England, where responsibilities included strategic advisory on payments innovation and leading large-scale data transformation programs. Notably, Shah contributed to the success of the FinTech Accelerator at the Bank of England, spearheading groundbreaking proof of concepts in distributed ledger technology. Additional roles include committee memberships with the Global Regulatory Oversight Committee for the Legal Entity Identifier and the European Banking Authority, highlighting a robust background in data governance and regulatory standards. Beju Shah holds a BSc (Hons) in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Manchester.
