Chris Cox, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience. Chris started their career in 1996 at Microsoft as a Systems Development Support Engineer. In 1999, they joined Barclays Capital as a Software Engineer, where they developed automated deployment and configuration systems. Chris then worked in various roles at different companies, including City of London as an Architect/Software Engineer and The Royal Bank of Scotland as the Director of Global Banking and Markets Technology, where they led the development of new technology capabilities. In 2013, they joined HSBC as an IT Strategy Consultant, where they developed cross-asset pricing and risk strategies. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at Accenture as a Senior Manager, focusing on technology strategies for global investment banks. Currently, they are working at the Bank for International Settlements as the Head of Information Technology & Services (CIO), overseeing the technology department and strategy.

Chris Cox, PhD obtained a Bachelor's degree in Cybernetics & Control Engineering from the University of Reading in 1996. Later on, from 2011 to 2015, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Modelling and AI at the University of Southampton.
