Sarah Bell currently serves as the Head of Central Banking Studies at the Bank for International Settlements, a position held since September 2018, while also acting as Adviser to the General Manager. Prior to this role, Sarah worked as Vice President and Chief of Staff at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from December 2015 to June 2018 and was a member of the Secretariat for the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision at BIS from September 2013 to November 2015. Sarah's earlier experience includes roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as Assistant Vice President in the Office of Financial Stability and Regulatory Policy, Manager of the Commercial Paper Funding Facility, and Senior Bank Examiner from September 2003 to May 2013. Sarah holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School (2001-2003) and a degree from Princeton University (1995-1999).
