Cavan Kong

Cavan Kong is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in credit risk management and structured finance. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Structured Finance at BIBD Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam since December 2022, Cavan previously held the position of Credit Risk Manager at Baiduri Bank Group from October 2019 to November 2022, where responsibilities included implementing credit risk management frameworks and reporting on asset quality. Cavan's earlier tenure at BIBD included roles such as Senior Manager and Manager of Corporate Credit Risk, focusing on credit assessments for large corporate exposures. Prior experience at Standard Chartered Bank encompassed multiple managerial roles, including overseeing credit underwriting and managing business banking relationships. Cavan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bradford, obtained in 2009.
