Zakaria Yusof has a wealth of experience in the banking industry, spanning over two decades. Zakaria began their career at AmBank Berhad, where they served as a Senior Executive from July 1997 to August 2007. Zakaria then moved on to Bank Muamalat, where they worked as an Assistant Manager in Operational Risk Management from September 2007 to October 2010. Following that, they joined Maybank as the Head of BCM Operations in the Group Risk Management division from November 2010 to January 2015. Zakaria then worked at AlRajhi Bank Malaysia as the Vice President of Operational Risk Management from January 2015 to October 2015. Currently, they are working at Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad in the position of Senior Manager, and later transitioned to Head of Operational Risk in January 2021.
Zakaria Yusof holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the International Islamic University, Malaysia. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a Certificated Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from the DRII (Disaster Recovery Institute International). Zakaria further pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA, which they completed between 2013 and 2016.
