Kannan Govindan

Kannan Govindan is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in enterprise architecture, strategy, and engineering within the banking sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Bank of America since January 2010, Kannan oversees the India Head for Enterprise Architecture and Engineering, as well as the Architecture, Strategy, Emerging Technologies, and Reference Data for Global Banking and Markets Technology. Previous roles include Vice President positions focusing on architecture and digital channels, along with a delivery leadership role in Global Wholesale Banking. Prior to Bank of America, Kannan held the position of Associate Project Director at AIG Systems Solutions and served as a Technical Lead at HCL Technologies. Kannan began the career as a System Analyst at DSQ Software. Kannan holds a Master’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
