Madanmohan Ghosh

Madanmohan Ghosh is a Principal Economist at the Bank of Canada since February 2022, with extensive experience in economic policy and modeling. Previously, Madanmohan held roles at Environment and Climate Change Canada from January 2011 to February 2022, including Senior Advisor and Chief of CGE Modeling, overseeing research and analysis on climate change economics. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at Finance Canada from March 2007 to December 2010 and as a Senior Economist at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada from October 2000 to March 2007. Madanmohan also worked as a Research Associate at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy in New Delhi from 1993 to 1996. Educational credentials encompass a Ph.D. in International Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, as well as post-doctoral studies in Trade, Development, and Economic Modeling from Western University.
