Meghan Brooks is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in equity, diversity, and inclusion. Currently serving as the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the Bank of Canada since May 2019, Meghan has previously held significant roles such as Chair of the CCMARD Advisory Committee at the Canadian Commission for UNESCO and Diversity and Inclusion Specialist at the City of Ottawa. Additional experience includes teaching positions at the University of Ottawa and Queen's University, along with research roles, including a noteworthy project with the City for All Women Initiative, where a national guide on equity and inclusion was developed. Meghan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geography from Queen's University, complemented by a Master of Arts (MA) and Bachelor of Arts Honours (BAH) in Geography.
