Stenio Fernandes

Stenio Fernandes, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional in the field of data science and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Assistant Director of Data Science and AI Innovation at the Bank of Canada. In addition to this role, Fernandes holds an honorary position as Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University. Previous experience includes serving as Senior Applied Research Manager in AI and Machine Learning at ServiceNow, and leadership positions at Element AI as AI Platform Team Manager and AI Core Team Manager. Fernandes also contributed as a Research Professor at the Center for Informatics (CIn) at the Federal University of Pernambuco. Academic credentials include participation in professional education programs at MIT in 2021 and 2022.
