Tianyi Gao has had a variety of roles in the banking and finance sector. In 2007, they worked as a UK Desk Sales Trading Assistant & Middle Office at Oddo Securities. From 2009 to 2010, they worked in the Financial Institution Group at RBS, where they were responsible for client meetings, compliance coordination, and credit risk monitoring. From 2010 to 2012, they worked in Risk Management at RBS, focusing on credit sanctioning and policy. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as an MIB Consultant at RBS. From 2013 to 2015, they worked on the Rainbow Programme at RBS, assisting with the design of a standalone Risk Appetite Framework. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager in the Group Risk GDPR Programme and in Non-Traded Market Risk Management at RBS. And, finally, since November 2019, they have been working as a VP, Enterprise Risk Manager at Bank of China, focusing on risk management strategy and engagement.
Tianyi GAO holds a Master's degree in Finance from ESCP Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics & International Trade from Wuhan University, with a minor in French.
