Binoy de Silva Wijayathilake

Binoy De Silva Wijayathilake is a Lead Policy Analyst at the Bank of England, focusing on financial market infrastructure innovation and payment policy since October 2023. Previously, Binoy served as Assistant Director in the Bank Supervision Department at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka from October 2013 to September 2022, where responsibilities included reviewing banking sector policies and regulations, drafting key regulations, and contributing to financial inclusion and literacy initiatives. Binoy's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Northumbria University, an Associate Membership in Management Accountancy from CIMA, and a Master of Arts in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo. Early education was completed at Ananda College, focusing on Mathematics.
