Jane Cathrall

Jane Cathrall is Executive Director for People & Culture, providing strategic leadership and advisory services in support of the Bank’s people agenda. Jane joined the Bank in the summer of 2020 as Head of Talent Acquisition & Development. Jane was Interim Executive Director from March 2021 and took up her role on a permanent basis from 1 June 2021.

She has spent her career in senior human resources leadership roles working across financial services institutions in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the Bank, Jane was Head of HR for HSBC’s Global Finance and Legal functions and was formerly at the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Jane started her career with NatWest having graduated with a degree in History from the University of Exeter. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a qualified coach.
