Florette Nakusera

Ms. Nakusera is the Director of Research and Financial Stability Department and Chief Economist at the Bank of Namibia. She joined the Bank as an Economist, before rising through the ranks as Senior Economist and Deputy Director of Research. Ms. Nakusera has over 15 years of experience in the field of economics, of which over 7 years has been in the financial services industry. Ms. Nakusera has written and co-authored numerous articles and papers in the field of macroeconomics. She also serves as a Director on various Boards and Committees.

She holds a Masters and an Honours degree in Economics from the University of Stellenbosch, a Bachelor degree in Commerce majoring in Economics, Management Science and Auditing from the University of Namibia. She also completed an Executive Development Programme (EDP) at the University of Stellenbosch.
