Russell Hill

Russell Hill is an experienced finance industry professional currently serving as the General Manager of Financial Crime Operations at BNZ since July 2009, leading the organization's efforts in compliance with AML/CFT, sanctions, and global tax obligations. Previously, Russell held positions as General Manager of Joining & Lending Fulfilment, Head of Onboarding & Customer Account Fulfilment, National Manager of Customer Services, and National Manager of Kaizen & Business Optimisation, progressively demonstrating leadership across large teams and customer service strategies. Russell began a career at Bank of New Zealand in 2002 with roles including Head of Risk Asset Review and Area Manager, focusing on risk assessment and business banking. Educationally, Russell earned an MBA in Business Studies from The University of Auckland between 2009 and 2011.
