Derek S. Martin

EVP, Chief Information Officer at Bank of Oklahoma

Derek Martin is executive vice president, and chief information officer of BOK Financial. In this role, he leads the enterprise operations and information technology division, which enables and supports almost every facet of the company.

Martin joined BOK Financial in 1994 and has held a variety of roles across the consumer bank, most recently serving as a consumer banking executive. Previously, he was the head of strategic services, which was responsible for strategy, digital banking and origination, business intelligence and analytics, operations, contact center, small business, credit delivery, and various product lines.

Martin currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Tulsa Children’s Coalition and is a trustee for the Tulsa River Parks Authority. He is also active with other non-profit organizations throughout the Tulsa area and has worked closely with Community Action Project Tulsa for several years, developing products and programs to promote asset accumulation and savings for low-income families.

He is a member of the company’s Diversity & Inclusion Council which works to ensure that the company fosters and supports an environment that reflects the entirety of the company’s values. Martin earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Oklahoma and an MBA from Oklahoma City University. He is a graduate of the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
