Karen Penrose

Ms Penrose was appointed a Director of BOQ on 26 November 2015.

Ms Penrose is an experienced non-executive director and banker. As a banker, Karen has 20 years of experience leading businesses within Commonwealth Bank of Australia and HSBC and over ten years in accounting and finance roles. Ms Penrose has particular expertise in the financial services, health, property, resources, and energy sectors. Ms Penrose is a Non-Executive Director of Vicinity Centres Limited, Ramsay Health Care Limited, Estia Health Limited, Rugby Australia Limited, and a Director of Ramsay Générale de Santé. Ms Penrose was formerly a Non-Executive Director of AWE Limited, Spark Infrastructure Group, Landcom, and Future Generation Global Investment Company Limited. She is a member of Chief Executive Women.

Ms Penrose is Chair of the Audit Committee and is a member of the People, Culture & Remuneration, Risk, Transformation & Technology, Investment, and Nomination & Governance Committees.
