Head Of Regulatory Compliance at Bank of Singapore

Allen Tan has extensive work experience in the financial industry, with a focus on compliance and regulatory matters. Allen started their career at KPMG as an Audit Manager and later joined ING Bank as an Internal Audit Manager. Allen then worked at Royal Bank of Scotland in financial reporting and control before joining BSI Bank as a Compliance Officer. Allen then moved to HSBC Private Bank as an SVP for Regulatory Compliance and subsequently worked at First Gulf Bank as the Head of Compliance for Wealth Management. Allen briefly served as the Head of Compliance and Risk at Schroders & Co before joining Bank of Singapore as the Head of Regulatory Compliance. In this role, Allen was responsible for overseeing compliance functions and providing regulatory advisory across various locations.

Allen Tan holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which they completed from 1998 to 2001. Allen also has a Master of Business degree from The University of Newcastle Australia, obtained from 2012 to 2015. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of London, completed in 2012-2013. Allen Tan has also acquired a diploma in Compliance (FICS Specialist) with Merit from the International Compliance Association in 2012-2013. Throughout their education, they achieved excellent results, including 4 As in their GCE A Levels from Hwa Chong Junior College in 1994-1995 and 10 A1s in their GCE O Levels from The Chinese High School in 1990-1993. Finally, they obtained a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist title from ACAMS in 2014, specializing in Financial Crime Compliance.
