Ricardo Peña

Ricardo (Rico) Peña has extensive experience in the banking industry. Ricardo (Rico) started their career as a Relationship Associate at Urban Bank in 1998. Ricardo (Rico) then moved to Citi, where they held various roles, including Assistant Manager and AVP in Treasury Operations. Ricardo joined ANZ in 2009 and served as Vice President, Head of Operations, and later as Chief Operating Officer for the Philippines. In 2017, they joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. as an Executive Director in Wholesale Payments Operations. Most recently, Ricardo held the position of Senior Vice President and Head of Strategic Support and Transformation at Metrobank. Ricardo (Rico) is currently serving as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Operations at the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI).

Ricardo (Rico) Peña obtained an AB degree in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University in 1998. Ricardo (Rico) later pursued an MBA with a specialization in Finance, General from the Asian Institute of Management, completing it in 2005. In addition to their formal education, Rico has also obtained certifications in Digital Transformation, Managing Logistics, and Solving Optimization and Scheduling Problems in Excel from LinkedIn in 2021.
