Hugh F. Boyle is currently the EVP, Chief Credit & Risk Officer at Bank of the Sierra. Prior to this, they were with Banc of California from October 2013 to May 2019, where they served as Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer.

At Banc of California, Boyle was tasked with overhauling and building a robust enterprise risk management foundation in one of the faster growing banks in the United States to meet the growing business, risk, and regulatory needs of a larger and more complex bank. Hugh achieved this while also supporting record loan originations, facilitating implementation of new business lines and team lift-outs, and expanding the existing C&I, Private Banking, Warehouse, Trust, SBA, Leasing, Residential Mortgage and CRE/Multi-Family lines of business.

Boyle has hands on experience managing enterprise-wide risk including Credit Risk, Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML), Cyber/Information Security, Compliance, Market and Liquidity Risk, Operational Risk, Business Continuity, Vendor Risk, Fraud, Corporate Security, SOX, ALLL, CECL, DFAST, Appraisal, Model Governance, Policy and Procedures, Privacy, Loan Operations and Servicing, Securities Portfolio.

Hugh F. Boyle received their Master's Degree in Mineral Economics from Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. Hugh also received their Bachelor's Degree in Mineral Economics from Pennsylvania State University.

They are on a team with Mike Olague - EVP, Chief Banking Officer, Christopher G. Treece - EVP, CFO, and Jennifer Johnson - EVP, Chief Administrative Officer. Their manager is Kevin J. McPhaill, President & CEO.
