George Wilson Ssonko

George Wilson SSONKO, PhD, is a highly experienced professional currently serving as a Senior Principal Banking Officer at the Bank of Uganda since December 2008, specializing in Performance Monitoring & Analysis and Financial Consumer Empowerment Mechanism. A key contributor to the Bank's strategic planning, SSONKO has led significant improvements in monitoring and evaluation frameworks, developed strategic performance reports, and represented the Bank at international forums. Additionally, SSONKO has an academic background as an adjunct lecturer with Uganda Martyrs University, where curriculum development and student supervision played a central role. With extensive qualifications, including a Doctorate in Business Administration and multiple postgraduate diplomas, SSONKO has honed expertise across finance, economics, and education, complemented by diverse teaching and research experiences dating back to 1999.
