Catherine M. Mukubwa Shamasamu currently serves as the Assistant Manager for Protocol, Events, and Hospitality at the Bank of Zambia since March 2019. With extensive experience in travel consultancy and ground handling, Catherine previously held the position of Ground Handling Manager at Bushtracks Africa Ltd from January 2007 to March 2019, where responsibilities included booking travel arrangements and managing ground services for VIP clients. Before this role, Catherine worked as the Groups and Tour Operations Manager, focusing on reservations for a top Destination Management Company, and served as the Senior Groups and Incentives Coordinator at Sun International Zambia, progressing through various service-oriented roles from 2000 to 2005. Catherine holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Lusaka and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Development Studies from the University of Zambia, along with foundational training from the Hotel and Travel Training Institute Trust.
