David Garcia

David Garcia currently serves as the Leiter Credit Operations and a member of the Board at Bank WIR since November 2023. Previously, David held various roles at UBS from April 2012 to July 2023, including Product Owner for Commercial Cards, where responsibilities included developing the commercial card portfolio and driving strategic initiatives. Other positions at UBS included Head Digital Corporate Bank Client Service for German-speaking Switzerland, overseeing the digital transformation for SME clients, and Desk Head for the Digital Corporate Bank Hub in Basel. David's early career included roles in Wealth Management and client advisory at Balfidor Fondsleitung AG. David holds multiple academic qualifications from HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration, including a Master of Advanced Studies in Digital Business and various Certificates in Disruptive Technologies and Digital Leadership, as well as being a Certified Corporate Banker from SAQ. David earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland.
